Governance and fiduciary oversight is the responsibility of Equality Hawaii Action Fund's board of directors. Board members serve for a one-year term. Board members must serve on at least one committee. A Nominations Committee, which is chaired by one board member and one non-board member, reviews all nominations and submits recommendations to the Equality Hawaii board, which appoints all EHAF board members. Our Executive Committee...
Elected from within the board, the executive committee consists of the co-chairs, treasurer, secretary and an at-large member, typically an immediate past co-chair.
Our Standing Committees...
Equality Hawaii Action Fund has four standing committees. Currently, these include Candidate Questionnaries, Communications, Endorsements and Resource Development. Other Committees...
The board can establish ad-hoc or advisory committees as needed. Advisory committees, such as the Advisory Board, only meet if needed. Ad hoc committees, such as the Nominations Committee, are established to address special projects or issues.
