Will We Continue The Momentum in 2012?

Equality was the big winner in Hawaii's general election Nov. 2, but we cannot rest.

Hawaii escaped the national wave that swept conservative candidates into office in 2010, but the 2012 election will be crucial as redistricting will place all candidates on the ballot in newly drawn districts.

We need to start work today to ensure the legislators that supported us are returned to office.

The advances we witnessed in 2011 can easily be repealed. Just look at New Hampshire where a new legislature is considering rolling back equality.

To help us invest in candidates that support equality, donate today.

You Made A Difference On Nov. 2

Thank You, Donors!

Thanks to our donors, we raised nearly $10,000 to help candidates which support equality for the 2010 election.

We are off to a great start for 2012 thanks to the donors who attended our Fourth of July party in Pacific Heights, which raised $5,000. To donate, click here.

Equality Hawaii Action Fund extends a big mahalo to all its members for the major victory Equality scored on Nov. 2.

To the thousands of members who viewed or downloaded our voter guide, thank you. To the thousands who took action by double-checking your polling place or early voting location, thank you.

The results on Nov. 2 signaled a new day in Hawaii. As Honolulu Star-Advertiser political columnist David Shapiro stated in his blog, the path of civil unions was clear.
